What is Addiction Counseling?

So, what is addiction counseling? Addiction counseling is an evidence-based treatment that improves your ability to identify and change negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Addiction counseling also helps you set goals and plans, such as employment or education goals. Another important part of addiction treatment is developing useful and healthy coping strategies. Stressors like negative emotions or significant life changes can put you at risk of relapsing. Acquiring tools and skills to handle stressors can help you maintain sobriety.

Residential and Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient treatments that Mesquite Treatment Center can help you achieve that sober life you’ve been wanting.

SUBSTANCE ABUSE OUTPATIENT (ADULTS AND ADOLESCENTS)

OUTPATIENT SERVICES

At Mesquite Treatment Center we educate our clients on the effect that drugs and alcohol have not only on them but their loved ones. Substance use disorders rob you of the life you should be living and can lead to jail time, loss of friends and family, or even death. At Mesquite Treatment Center we believe that you are worth fighting for and deserve the chance to live a life free from drugs and alcohol.

About Our Substance Abuse Outpatient Program

Our counselors in our outpatient program educate clients through drug and alcohol treatment sessions that can be scheduled at various times throughout the week. This allows us to assist anyone suffering from substance use disorders on their schedule. Our program teaches you important life, communication, and coping skill necessary to continue on your road to a healthy and sober life.

Intensive Outpatient (Adolescents Only)

Intensive Outpatient

Intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) are treatment programs used to address addictions or other dependencies that do not require detoxification or round-the-clock supervision. They enable patients to continue with their normal, day-to-day lives in a way that residential treatment programs do not. Whereas residential treatment requires that clients reside on-site, clients in intensive outpatient programs live at home.

About Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

When stuck in the same cycle of substance use and addiction, individuals regularly find they need to change their approach. By disrupting the cycle, individuals can finally start addressing the problems that have kept them addicted. This is where an intensive outpatient program (IOP) comes in. This structured program is meant to accommodate the daily routine of clients while pursuing recovery. What this means is that participants can still meet their family obligations and continue working.

An IOP can provide much-needed support for individuals who have already completed a residential treatment program when relapse happens to get back on track to recovery. At Mesquite Treatment Center, LLC, our IOP gives individuals access to the addiction treatment they need to overcome their substance use disorder and heal.
